Testing the Chinese version off Amazon. Wanted to make sure all of my cameras had the rechargeable lithium batteries. Went through everything to find out 2 of the batteries that are only a year old won’t take a charge. In fact one looks almost slightly burnt on the bottom. Anyhow I’m going to contact them about replacements to see how that goes. What I did find is these batteries that are about $30. Ordered 5 of them and they were delivered the next day. Will see how they work but figured nothing to lose with the $50 version already failing. Not something I typically like doing but also frustrating to spend the money only to have issues. I had a set of 12 AA Lithium Energizers only last 6 weeks in my Reconyx. I have tried rechargeables but they don't last as long. Look at the Mah rating of the batteries. Energizers are 3000, the NINMAX batteries on Amazon are 3,500 mah. but they aren't rechargeable.

Definitely in favor of getting away from buying more and more batteries. Hopefully these larger lithium rechargeable batteries will work. The cost of any lithium battery is just going up and up.

Will do either way. Should be able to monitor battery life through the season. Once they go on I don’t make special trips back to them for battery issues or really any issues unless I walk right by it by chance. Just make notes in my season journal and pull everything after it’s all said and done.

Has anyone tested the new batteries before using them? I read where someone had bought 500 batteries to use in cameras and about 100 of them test bad from the manufacturer before use. WoW, something to think about….

Quick update. Doesn’t look good for the test. One battery lasted about a week. Another down to 80% in a week. The others are holding on strong so far.
