Parts came in Friday for the Browning SA-22. Upon disassembly I noticed that this thing was very dirty, (I don't think this thing had ever been cleaned in its life) along with it being dirty I needed to do an inspection of the barrel, due to the premature firing of the last round. Sure enough the premature firing caused a squib, with a little effort it was out, and with no damage to the barrel. Well after about 3 hours with a pick, solvent and swabs this thing was clean as new. Reassembled the rifle and a functional check, took it to the garage and fired a few rounds into the phonebook backstop with no issues and is ready for the range.

Gawd, that was filthy! I sure am glad that you decided to check the barrel!

Squibs don't hurt anything unless you load another round and shoot it. 22 Simi autos are about the dirtiest guns going.
