A woman walks into a bridal shop and explains to the store manager that she'd like a long white dress and veil for her fourth wedding.
The manager tried to gently explain that her request would be appropriate for a more innocent bride.
The woman claimed that she was as innocent as can be. She explained that her first husband died of a heart attack in the honeymoon hotel lobby. Her second husband and she got into a terrible argument on the way to their reception, and the marriage was quickly anulled.
The manager asked about the third husband.
The woman said, "Well, he was a democrat. For four years, all he did was sit at the edge of the bed and promise how good it was going to be."
