Looking for some resources to talk to or research on values of older PC type muzzleloaders. I am guessing it is 20-30 years old. 50 caliber TC.
Thanks

You can try Flintlocks LLC in Nineveh. They may be able to assist. Very knowledgeable on muzzleloader. Phone is 317-933-3441. If that even still works. Here’s their Facebook page. www.facebook.com/FlintlocksLLC/

Thank you.....my neighbor and hunting buddy who passed away, his wife said she would sell me his Hawken 50 caliber Silver Elite. I found a little info on it, appears they only made 500 of them in 1987. I know I've looked over the years and not found many for sale. I do know that for me...the sentimental value will be priceless.

Is that like the Cougar? Supposed to be Stainless but I think the barrel is just electrolysis nickel.
I have seen the TC HAWKENS in very good condition going for $450 to $550. I would say $50 to $75 more for the specials. The Seneca you can about name your price.

I think you may be right - thanks.....I did some more looking and found this on a forum.
The Hawken Couger Silver Elite is a hawken with all stainless steel barrel, SS breech and SS furniture. The sights are blued steel. It was produced in 1994.
The production year of 94 fits more in line with when he purchased the gun. Should be able to get it next week so hopefully will be able to find specific info on it.

Here are a couple of pictures of the T/C Hawken Silver Elite that was my neighbors. Picked it up before leaving for vacation. Just says Thompson Center Silver Elite, no "cougar" found on it. Plan give Flintlocks a call this week.

Nice looking rifle. Most of them have the hammer spur bent when adding scopes.
Mike at Flintlocks is a great guy. I highly reccomend one or more of the round capper he sells. I like them because they were inexpensive ( at least they were) and you can carry them in your pocket hunting with out the caps rattleing around and they do not pack full of lint.

Exactly right sir......my 54 Renegade spur is bent as well. Thanks for the info on the cappers. Yep.. I had my TC Hawken hammer spur heated and bent to clear the scope.

I bent the spur on my 45 myself. No big deal. Don't take much heat. Just plan it out before you start heating.
A propane torch is plenty.

That’s nice looking. I’ve got the TC Greyhawk. No scope just rifle sights.
