INDIANA (WANE) — Indiana anglers rejoice as the Indiana Department of Natural Resources has restocked area lakes with striped and hybrid striped bass ahead of the summer’s end.…. t.co/XvNAtIxPOK

I realize that smaller fish are cheaper than larger fish, but they are going to experience more than 50% mortality stocking them at that size. I would never recommend stocking that size fish in a private pond that had an established fish population.

My thoughts exactly.
Anyone with any experience at catching hybrids at Worcester Lake in Potato Creek State Park? I'd appreciate any pointers.

My thoughts exactly. Anyone with any experience at catching hybrids at Worcester Lake in Potato Creek State Park? I'd appreciate any pointers. Hybrid Striped Bass (HSB) typically stay in open water, and stay in the upper 6-7 feet where there is the most O2, not utilizing or relating to structure like Largemouth Bass (LMB) do. They typically eat small fish, so fishing from a boat, early in the morning looking for predators that are busting schools of shad are the best option. Trolling with slender crankbaits in the upper part of the water column is another tactic. They don't have a big mouth, so they cannot eat fish that are tall like bluegills are. Golden Shiners and Shad are their primary food sources in public waters. Some guys catch them when fishing with liver under a float too.

That is probably why Monroe's fishery is on the decline. Couple years of poor survival or limited stocking and change to fry.
Plenty of wipers to catch but no more guides or parades of boaters trolling the lake like there used to be.
Eacy to catch when hitting the shad on the surface. Get close and toss big bait with lots of hooks. Cranks, jerks, top water, spoons, jigs, swim baits, live bait, cut bait, crawlers, livers. If not busting the surface use electronics and find the bait.
