I don't think that boy is the sharpest tooth on the chain. I think he could have copped a plea and not spent time in jail, but if it goes to trial, he may spend time in the slammer as he should.

Personally I hope he tries to continue to claim his innocence and they give him the maximum penalty.

I'm not by any means 100% educated on this case. But, if half of what I have read is true, he should be banned from owning any sort of weapon for life. We don't need people that are that stupid in possession of any weapon.

The results of came the one in Virginia came up in Marlin Owners message board. The guys in Virginia plead guilty in that case. It is very similar to this case. I thought they got off light.
Just my opinion but when the judge sentences the poachers the term should be served in 2 or 3 months stretches. Like October November and December. Do that until they have served their time.

Even if he gets off not guilty, he's likely spent a whole lot of $$ defending himself.

This will not end well for the young man. I suspect a plea deal will be struck at some point, but I see no way this will have a happy ending for him.

25 yrs? Should’ve been life. It is 100, but 75 was suspended. If he us caught again it comes back into play |
