My vote goes to Cabela's. Here's my opinion. Bass Pro More times than not the item has been out of stock. Top quality though. Cabela's Never had any problems to speak of. They have the best camo pattern out there, IMO, 3D Outfitter. All top shelf. ;D ;D Gandor Mountain Good quality, just hard to get to here in Indianapolis. Dick's Nothing but a higher priced K-Mart, IMO. Some good prices, but not much selection. Dunhams They closed all their stores here in Indianapolis. There you have my .02 worth. And I guess that's all it's worth.

I vote for Sportsman's Guide , I can't count how much I've bought from them . Second favorite is Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops in a tie , they both have great customer service .

Not too many of those good old fashioned privately owned mom & pop sporting goods, bait shops and gun stores left. They are definitely the best, and I try to spend my money in them whenever it makes sense.

Good to hear Steiny.... the only reason I closed is because of all the jobs that were lost here locally which greatly effected my main customer base.. I RARELY buy anything at a "big box" if I can help it. A funny story and I will try and be brief... I had a guy come in that wanted to buy a Mossberg Shotgun. I was selling them at cost but he was MAD because he could buy it at Wally World 5 bucks cheaper. I told him to get on his horse and ride............ 6 months later I get a call and was asked if I worked on Mossbergs. YEP sure do..... That very day the same guy walked in carrying his shotgun. I fixed it while he waited and when he asked how much he owed me I said 20.00. He paid without question.. As he was walking out the door I told him that if he had bought it from me I would have fixed it for free!... I made him mad but I think I also made my point....... I took care of my customers and thats what is missing today. Ya get what you pay for sometimes.......
