The only down side of feeling good now is, I can't stop going like the Energizer bunny. Work is allowing some OT, so capitalizing on that. Helping an older friend and mentor with homestead chores that never end. Been mowing grass and bush hogging for a neighbor for extra coin. Getting our boat ready for some fishing. Getting ready for a vacation to WV next week. Time for a break!

I hear ya! I haven't even had the chance to put batteries back in my boat. Chores around the house, working extra gigs so we can have some extra walking around money while on vacation, being short handed at work left me in the office alone the past 2.5 months and on call every night and weekend since. Life just needs to chill out a minute and let me catch my breath! Lol!

Well deadeer, how's the vacation going? I hope it goes smoother than last years. Very nice. No ailments, no issues, no hurrying. Eating well (off track!), but enjoying it.

Stuart went back home Saturday morning. Sunday afternoon a bad storm (possible tornado) came close to his place and as of 6pm tonight his electricity was out for 26 hours. (Covington, Va)

We had storms, but no damage.

Week of vacation over...
Started with the WV trip. Great times from the weather, to the food, to the family, to safe travels. Went and visited some family in the "way back" areas of eastern KY. The best time.
Back home, got so many things accomplished. Cleaned garage and yard up. Took in a trailer load of accumulated scrap. Pressure washed about everything. Took on some interesting projects with an elderly buddy. Got our boat ready for the water.
Then finally some fishing trips. My wife gets included in most things we do to show our appreciation of being a great mom and wife. She caught some panfish on the boat. Then she went to St Joe with us, where we went to Cracker Barrel and then to the pier where she saw Luke land the steelhead I posted in the fishing section.
As stated prior, I think this is my first vacation week off outside of hunting season. We stayed busy, and did a lot together, everyone was happy, and it was just really a great time.
Now back to the grind.
