I see the THP crew found some quick success in Indiana! Good for them! They hit it hard and deserve what they harvest.
That being said, I kinda wish Indiana would give Hoosier hunters a solid week to hunt first before letting nonresidents hunt. I get it, big money draw but, just a thought I had. I hunt private ground far away from any public so, it really doesn't effect me any. And I get the fact that some people (actually two wood lots from me) lease ground that live out of State. Nonresidents but, leasing private ground so, I don't necessarily think they should have to wait. A lot of variables to consider I suppose. Idk, just something I think about when bouncing along on my lawn mower.
Just to be clear, I have no issues with non resident hunters or the THP crew. I've been watching them since their humble beginnings and appreciate the work and effort they put into hunting and producing the videos.

I used to watch every episode of THP, some really good hunters on there. I'm just not a big fan of the personalities anymore though, maybe I'm just getting too old lol.
I wouldn't mind seeing Indiana go to a draw for both deer and turkey to curb non-resident leasing. I'm all for states placing priority to residents. I do all of my hunting on public land, so the regs greatly impact my hunting lol

They screwed a lot of public land up for those that hunt public. They and most don't seem to care about anyone but themselves. They aren't no different than any other hunting shows. Unfortunately they make their money screwing guys that put in the work, all from OnX. The hunting public and OnX have been the burden of those of us that aren't blessed with private property. Said what I said.
As far as "hitting it hard", trust me. It's not them putting in the work. They get handed info no different than others that hunt private. Because their name most give them a pass. Trust me. They have others working for them.
I may be wrong but watch their shows in Iowa. Driving deer. How many they screw over on public land driving deer? Hey in Iowa driving deer is a tradition. Yeah when you work for it yourself. Not handed it to you

So does the Untamed, Catman, Born and Raised Outdoors, and the countless others that have shows for public land hunting screw everyone over as well? Not sure why THP gets all the blame. Part of what they want to do is promote public lands and all the opportunity there is out there to hunt them. Guess they’re doing their job.

THP has definitely made an impact, I used to watch all the time as well. Some of the stalks Zach Ferhenbagh (sp?) has made are incredible. I got burnt out on them, as stated some of the newer faces have turned me off. Onx and THP have changed the game no doubt about that. I still think people are reluctant to put in work to get to tough spots, too far, too many hills, whatever the excuse people don't want to put that much into it so most of my spots have been safe, I did lose a pretty good spot that was out of the way and had some obstacles to get into it but I could do it quickly and fairly easy. I hunted pretty much pressure free for about 10 years. Someone figured out what I already knew, yold me he found it on Onx, I think he told a few buddies, you know what they say about loose lips. I've not been back for a couple of years now. I keep an eye on it just to see how many trucks are on it during deer season, too many for me.

It was crazy last year with all the out of state hunters in that area. I know I counted more than 20 out of state vehicles the last week of October thru first two weeks of November. There was not a day in that 3 week period that no one was parked by the gate. It was rediculous. Like everything with social media and stuff like onX every nook and cranny now has someone hunting it. Most public land now is ruined because of it and it will never be the same.

In my opinion, the root of the problem is that there are too many hunters for the amount of accessible land across the country. Anyone who says we need more hunters, is completely disconnected from reality.

I think they did a better job of hiding where they were at this year than they did last year.
Between THP and Seek One Kansas has pretty much become a preference point state.
