Good thinking! Definately a rough time with the cost of ammo now.
It's bad enough finding a pattern you like, then got to sight in if using a scope or dot, or even finding exact poa with a bead.
I havent seen any Longbeard XR around in our area for awhile.
I used my last TSS shell, so will have to lay out the hefty coin if I get more. Time is counting down quick too!

Thankfully, I bought 3 boxes of longbeards several years back. I shoot two a year, 1 to confirm and 1 at a turkey.

I've upgraded my turkey setup to a stoeger m3000 with a pistol grip stock and put a vortex venom red dot on a meadow creek vent rib mount. I'm shooting federal tss #7 's and yea it was pretty pricey to get it right but I feel pretty comfortable shooting out to 60yds with it. Hunting public land I want the longer range because I don't know how many opportunities I'll have to hunt since I have to do the no show draw. If a long shot is all I get I want to have the ability to do so.
