Hello,
I've been foraging plants and mushrooms for years, but just started hunting last year and I am very excited about it. Food is my primary motivation, and honestly, I'll try almost anything. Last year, I only got a groundhog and a couple squirrels, but just closely observing and getting to know the other animals we share this land and water with has been fun and rewarding in so many ways. So, definitely not just about the food.
I'm in Madison Co, and so far primarily have been hunting and scouting nearby private land, Wilbur Wright, and Province Pond. We have hiked and swam a lot at Salamonie, and I'll probably hunt there next year too. If anyone is in the area and interested in meeting up, lemme know!
