My wife stated yesterday the turkeys are here. They like our private drive area front yards.

Went out this morning to listen for gobbles and change a card and battery pack out on the Tactacam. There was a tom just hammering away for about an hour. Won’t be long and the chase will be on!!

Seen one today down in a deep spot they get in out of the wind. Honest rope beard, probably biggest ever. Close to home, but nowhere near where I hunt. Need to knock on some doors.

Finally heard the first one from the back deck this evening. Saw him when coming home from my parents in the field behind the house and now he’s back there hammering away to my owl hoots and the crows.
