I bought a used Savage 110 Varmint in 22-250 a couple of years ago. I found the Trigger had a light pull and was decent. It shoots around .750" with Hornady factory ammo when I do my part at 100 yards. While cleaning I discovered it would drop the fireing pin if the trigger was pulled while the safety was on. Release the trigger and snap! There is not much online or youtube about adjusting it either. Savage has very little about adjustments either. I set it in the safe and played with my other toys.
I got it back out and gave it another try. I could get it light but not safe, safe but about 7-1/2 pounds. I started shopping settled on the Timney trigger.
It came Saturday and I installed it yesterday. I still have to get some clearance on the trigger guard. I see where Savage cuts corners to save a buck or two. The pocket for the guard base allows for casting gates to sit in. When it warms up a little I will fire up one of my portable hand held milling machines (files) and get that casting flush or even a little undercut.
The trigger is now 2-1/2 pounds and safe.

The instruction video was right on. The printed instructions were as good if you do your work a PC. It is an easy install. If you do not have the required tools to get it done turn in your card. Wheeler Trigger weight scale optional but like a great friend said the one with the most tools at his estate sale wins.

I put one in a Mossberg rifle several years ago. I don’t remember a lot about how it went in, but do remember that it was an easy job. I’m happy with it.

I put one in a Ruger 77. Rather straightforward installation if you simply follow the instructions.

When I lived in Southern California my shooting partner needed to get a release trigger installed in his new BT-99. He was going to see Alan Timmney to have him do it and since I had just gotten a new Browning Citori that I was not shooting as well as my Nikko Golden Eagle, I asked if I could go.
It took about 2 hours but we went to Allan Timney's house. I had no idea he ran the business from his house, I thought we were going to a business. He had most of the parts made at various machine shops, but did all the assembly and fine tuning of the triggers himself there at the house, and he shipped the orders from the house at that time too.
He ran the business out of his 3 car garage at that time (1996-1997) and it was a very interesting and informative trip. We met his wife, (I forget her name) she made us coffee, we sat and chatted a bit then we went to the "shop". He changed Wally's trigger from the standard trigger to a release trigger, then took a look at both the Nikko and the Browning. It turns out that the Browning had a 1# heavier trigger pull than the Nikko so he matched the trigger weights and off we went.
It was an interesting trip for sure and my shooting issues with the gun went away. The only way I'd sell that gun would be if I couldn't shoot any more. I have about 130,000 rounds through it now and it's been pretty flawless.
Now to the Savage. I put a sharp Shooters Supply trigger in my Savage ML-I and it was a straight forward install. Adjustability is there, trigger pull is what I wanted and the install was easy to do.
