I was fortunate to have hunted with an awesome Lab. He did it all but back the trailer in at the end of the day. The back story on him was he had puppy and derby points but injured himself on a submerged beaver cutting and from then on ran up to the waters edge and walked out. Great dog his head was like radar watching for ducks and geese and many times spotted them before we did.

A lot of good dogs out there but great one's dont come around often. I sold all these pups as started dogs. I kept one female for myself and gave a male and female to my partner in Canada, all being trained for FT.

Decided to sale the one female I kept. Partner in Canada has to step away from the game for awhile and asked me to take one of his. No need in having two bred the same. If anyone is looking for a well started black lab female.

If I didn't have Springers I'd be interested.

The company Jack Links bought my pick female and my partners male to use as guide dogs on their Florida quail ranch. They called after receiving them and said their trainer was VERY impressed with their training.

Small world, isn't it?

Small world, isn't it? I feel it is. They asked if I would have any started dogs for sale next year (I wont). All but my old dog will be leaving at the end of this month to work for a pheasant guiding ranch in south dakota. My good friend handles and cares for them at the ranch.
