I had a really nice three year old the previous year come in and I think I missed him high because he was way above me but ended up killing a nice forky at 10 yards. You just have to see big bucks while hunting and get used to that initial fever. I just shut it out anymore

A big 6 Pointer I killed in Illinois - 137 6/8" net Wow. Woody, that’s a big 6 Got any pics of him you’d share? Picture??? He is on the far left by the bear and pronghorns. I’ve got some in the field pictures somewhere .

Nice looking buck Woody. Looks like he’s missing his G2’s Thanks for the pic Actually he has G2s, just not any points after that - no G3s. With the upswept beams he looked like an eight pointer to me when he came through the CRP field.. I wasn’t disappointed that he was only a six after I dropped him. I had seen him once before at 300 yards and thought he was an eight then. This area had an over abundance of sixes and a half dozen or so white (not albino) and piebald deer. Interesting area.
