It was a joy to spend time with my daughter and her family this past week. The drive down and back was pleasant and the weather was great, too! First, on her recommendation, we hit Terry Black's in Lockhart for some awesome brisket. And a good way to celebrate my Son-in-law's graduation with his DPT, Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the U.S Army MEDCoE! I got to spend an afternoon, birdwatching with my grandson at Warbler Woods in Cibolo where we picked up a new and fairly rare bird, the Green-tailed Towhee: And we had some more fun at the San Antonio Zoo with 2 of his sisters: Sunrise just east of Austin on our way out of town:

Nice city, that’s where we went for our honeymoon. Disappointed with the Alamo. 😁

Holy crap, that's a drive, even for me! I was in Dallas (drove) for a few days and I flew to San Antonio then back to Dallas because I didn't want to burn another 2 days on the road. If you go to the Alamo, you have to go to the bar across the street that has ALL the stuffed animals in it. IT will take you longer to see that than the Alamo.
