Willow Slough FWA will be opening for the late goose season beginning January 4th. A daily drawing will be held for the first four days. After that, it will be self-serve with sign in beginning at 4:30 AM. If interest is high, we will continue hosting draws to allocate spots. The Rookery and Salisbury Units will remain closed until further notice.
Recent rains have really helped our water situation. The front of the lake now has water showing fairly well and waterfowl are starting to use it. At this time I suspect two parties will be able to hunt the front of the lake. Final determination will be made on Jan 3rd if a third party is possible. Launching boats from trailers will still likely be difficult.
We are in the process of flooding Pools 1-6 and hope they will have adequate water by January 4th. A few other pools have some sheet water, and are likely huntable to some degree. With rain in the forecast, hopefully we can get a couple more pools flooded soon. All pools and TNC Units will be open. (Again Rookery and Salisbury are closed).
Hunting hours will be all legal hours.
