I don't know how many of you all hunt on Hovey Lake property, but thought I would share our sightings from last evening. We saw 15 total, all does and fawns. There were 2 single does(at least we could not see a fawn), 5 nice mature does that either had a single fawn or twins. All the little ones are still in spots. The does are looking a little rough right now. To my surprise they are starting to loose their summer coat. One had already trned almost grey from the normal summer red.
If you could not tell I am itching for bow season this year. Got my new Drenalin sighted in and ready to go....

There are some big bucks down there at hovey lake. You just have to find them. right now they are probably coming out at night and going into the standing corn, at least that is where I have seen them all the time, then once the corn is harvested, then they run along the edges of the lake and refuge area in the back. They are very hard to hunt during bow season, but they mess up also. Hang in there and thanks for the report.
