Would you support having a season for trad bows?

For years and years I would have because that is all I hunted with, now having 3 boys I dont have the time to shoot the trad gear like I used to so Im not near as comfortable hunting with it. One day I plan to get back to it. I just think itd be too hard to regulate a season.

Absolutely NOTHING against anyone using non-compound bows, but where would they draw the line on new seasons for specific weapons?
One for those, one for percussion muzzleloaders, one for flintlock (because they are more traditional than percussion), one for leveraction rifles, one for single shots, ...
It would be neverending.
On the other hand, we might be hunting deer year-round with enough separate seasons.

Why does every group need a season of their own? LOL. )Archery season runs for over 3 months. Use your recure, your compound or your crossbow.) -0- need for a season.

As a trad bow hunter, no, I don't think we need a separate season. I don't see any need for it.

Personal choice in what we take to the woods. The question smacks of “identity politics”. Some people are not happy unless they can divide others. We are ALL hunters, no matter what hunting tool we choose.

Also what would the end game be to beat everyone else into the woods?? To put even more yearly pressure on the herd? I think we have more than enough time to hunt so if it were meant to add to the season, no way.

I think we have more than enough time to hunt so if it were meant to add to the season, no way. It's just the realization that as technology progresses, it may not be a bad idea to dial things back. Think back to the 70's and 80's. Bow hunting for most (there have always been exceptional archers) meant a 25 yard weapon, and during gun season, most guys were shooting foster slugs through a smooth bore with nothing but a bead on the end, and were doing good to hit a pie plate at 60 yards. Now we have 100 yard archery weapons, and rifles capable of several hundred yards. Not to mention range-finding scopes, cell cams etc.... I think it was better back then. It was harder, but that was a good thing.
