Beautiful. Has to do with moonlight hitting frosty air in the atmosphere. I can't remember much about this phenomenon, but do know it often signals an upcoming snow. Also, you've caught Jupiter to the moon's right. Yes, Jupiter is visible and is one of the brightest planets. Below the moon there is a photographic artifact due to the moonlight.
