It just came over the news that Marshall County Indiana has a burn ban due to the drought. No outside fires allowed. No fire pits, burning leaves, etc. due to multiple grass fires.
We had about 5 minutes of light rain and it moved off. Barely enough to get the concrete wet and radar shows no more rain coming.

Drought is spotty for sure. This is the first year in a long time that my front yard stayed green all summer. I did roll the dice on my food plot as we had no rain for a couple weeks when it came time to plant in late August. We got very little rain for the first couple weeks afterwards. It surprised us it did as well as it did   |

Yeah the whole midwest is dry as heck. All my wetlands are dry and all my ponds are way down.
Could use several inches of rain over a couple day period.
Calling for some tonight and tomorrow, fingers crossed.

My in-laws pond is lower than I had ever seen it in the 26 years I've been around.
So incredibly thankful for the rain we're getting right now. Unfortunately, I have already brought my rain gauge in for the winter.
