Any of you all from Harrison County that could tell me about recreational activities along Indian Creek would be heros of mine...
Fishing? Hunting? Big enough to get a canoe down? Parks along it?
Not trying to steal any spots here, just helping put together a possible grant proposal...

I have hunted, fished, trapped and canoed most of Indian creek. Are you looking at any particular part ? You can catch some huge crappie in that creek !

It is on Indiana's list of streams deemed "ecologically important." I will keep the Harrison County bretheren posted on any plans down there.

Where are some put ins and take outs? Would love to float if it isn't a highway like the Blue. Do you need to get near the Ohio to get into the big crappies? What about the Little Blue? I have hiked along it and it looks promising. Walked along the upper Patoka yesterday and found some real nice looking holes and the water is nice and clear. Was looking for a place to hit the whites when they start their run as well as some smallies.

I'm not sure about getting in since the land on both sides is mostly private , but you'd almost have to get out at the "third dam" right before Corydon , the water is too shallow west of that for anything but fishing . Look up a topo and follow the creek upstream on it to see if there is a public access .
