Sharpening a couple pocket knives tonight got me thinking. What's everyone's every day carry knife? On most days a Gerber EZ out is in my pocket. I've been carrying one since 2000 when I traded a coworker a switchblade for it. I like how it's lightweight for the size. This is only the blade from my first knife. I finished off a car hit deer with it years ago and it kicked my hand so hard the handle broke. I bought a used one off ebay with a messed up blade and swapped the good pieces out. I've got a drawer full of knives. Some worth a lot more than this Gerber but I always seem to grab this one. I like to carry a folding Fox Karambit when I'm going anywhere sketchy. It opens when I pull it out of my pocket by the finger ring. A Benchmade Crooked River is on the top of my wish list. I just can't justify spending the money on it.

Kershaw Leek smooth blade. 16600R Those are good knives! I've got an older Kershaw Storm that I really like. It's a little heavy to carry every day.

I hadn't seen that one yet. It looks like a nice carry knife. I'm a big fan of Buck knives. I've been using a Buck Vanguard for deer since the mid 90's when my dad gave me one for Christmas. I got one just like it for my stepson last year.

Until the day before yesterday I was carrying a Boker Kalashnikov 74 AUS-8. Paid $38 for it at SMKW. Yesterday I couldn't find it; must have fell out of my pocket somewhere.

CRKT Ruger Hollow Point R2301. Nice looking, smooth ball bearing, not made anymore. I got 3 total. Love it.
Buck 3 blade and Old Timer 3 blades always. I clean skurries and sometimes gut deer and skin with them now. Small and thin blades, cut myself more times than we will talk about. Lol

My dad had about 2000 knives in his collection. I have probably 200 of those left. The rest went to family ( brothers and sisters and their kids). My carry knife is a cheap off brand folding knife.

Cool. I collect too, got over a hundred now. Mostly clearance and sale items. Not much value, but I cant pass up something that looks good, or is an oddball or novelty. Nothing very special, except for 10 homemade knives from my wifes uncle. They are priceless to us. One of these days I'll pull them out and clean/oil them up and take pics to show off his talent.

The picture was all the loose knives, the better ones are new and in original boxes. I’ve got bullet knives, canoes knives and all the posters that advertise them. Some posters are worth $200.

Somewhere around 1980 I received this Kershaw folding 5100 knife as a gift. It had a beautiful covering commemorating Ducks Unlimited.
I have carried this knife with me everywhere and to this day I never leave home without it.

Swiss Army which has; two knife blades, phillips and standard screwdriver, can opener, bottle opener, leather punch, tweezers and toothpick. I've gutted, skinned and taken apart a deer with it in a pinch. The blades are good steel, sharpen up nicely.

I guess I can't really say this is my EDC knife. Mostly I don't "carry" a knife everyday. With all my travel and many plant restrictions, they would be confiscated. So this is my WTMIRC (When the moment is right carry) knife. Circa 1900, H.H.H. Plier knife by the Oscar Barnet Tool Company. An advertisement from 1900 declared, "Invaluable to Farmers, Horsemen, Mechanics, Miners, Sailors, Soldiers, Sportsmen an All Working Men!" Twas my Great Grandpa's knife:
