4 years ago this doe caught me moving in my stand. Since then I had 1 opportunity to take her and I let her walk because a big buck was close. Every year she would catch me in the stand at least once. 23 ft up with good cover, but she new where the stand was and looks in the trees. She circled the backside of my tree last night and sniffed my climbing sticks. Then tried to get downwind on the tracks. But the thermals weren't falling yet. So, after 30 minutes she changed her mind and decided to go to the standing corn. It was to her demise! Wise old doe is down. Also, I decided to not follow the blood trail at all and just let my dog do the work. Once again, she took me straight to it !

Congratulations! Those old does can be hard to get. My most challenging deer was a mature doe with a recurve. She knew something wasn't right. It took her 30 minutes to close in the last 10 yards. I've never had a standoff like that with a buck.
