This morning I went to LaSalle FWA and asked questions and got maps and regulations about Waterfowl Hunting. Then I spent 3 hours of scouting and picture taking of the different areas that we can pick from. I’m getting pumped up for this Hunt in November

Did you see any birds?
Don't forget you will need wearable PFD'S and a Throw out. Make sure your anchor lines on your decoys are long enough. Think about taking some camo netting or burlap to help cover up your blind.

I own 3 wearables ( I have a 4 person rubber raft ) but I still need a throw out and I still need to buy a Fire extinguisher. Yesterday I was on Amazon looking at camo netting. I need to see how long my anchor lines are on my decoys . Thank you so much for the advice it’s much appreciated.

I don't believe you need a fire extinguisher un less you use a motor.
DON'T seek the advise of others or groups of others such as those on "FACEBOOK" because they want to steer you away from the good blinds so they have a better chance on the leftover draws.
STEER YOUR OWN SHIP!

STEER YOUR OWN SHIP!Great advice and this is the reason for my scouting on my own And I'm looking at buying my own boat because LaSalle FWA no longer have boats to use and also so that I can start hunting the rivers and fishing the rivers .

ADVISE: I would not use a rubber raft in a place like Lasalle because your asking for big time trouble. 3 men plus decoys, guns, packs and what ever else is only asking for trouble. Try to find 14' boat with a good set of oars and a spare. Prepare for the worst and pray for the best results.

I own 2 life jackets and oars and a small trolling motor and battery because of the raft . I have a few friends who are helping me find a boat

You might want to try drawing into that place before your reserve date and see what it's like and what your up against.

There are a lot of opportunities hunting off the river there too. I would also advise against a rubber raft. Not sure if they provide a flat bottom boat or not still. The use too I know.

I know a couple good spots to sit right on the bank and let the dog go do the work.

I know a couple good spots to sit right on the bank and let the dog go do the work. I actually have 2 Retrievers but not trained for hunting . Someone forgot to tell one of the labs that he is suppose to like playing in water and stepping in mud and he's terrified of dead game He will run and hide in his crate until the danger is gone . The other lab has a thin coat but loves the water but he is unsure about dead birds . Last but not least the German Shepard loves retrieving squeaker toys and loves the water to such a point the she almost jumped off a bridge about 15 feet to play in the water and she will sniff a dead bird . Come to think of it now it would make perfect since to train the German Shepard for hunting .
