My plan is to go to LaSalle during my off day during the week to get information about everything I need to know and then during the weekends scout ,scout and scout. I have my hunting party of 3 . A buddy of mine who I took with me the first time I was picked 3 years ago, my Sister and me |

I just called Lasalle FWA and they told me Congratulations and that a ton of hunters put in for Lasalle for November . And that Lasalle has 7 Blinds so basically I'm in the middle for the most part , I have draw 4 .

I was picked for 11/26/2023 at LaSalle FWA . Draw order 4 With the weather forecast for that date you might want to consider a deep water blind that won't freeze up quickly. |

You want to take several hand and toe warmers and if possible a portable heater.
Charge up you cell phones and by all means take pictures.

I was drawn for Goose Pond 12/7-12/8. Never been before If you can get there the day before scout for your spot. Lot of areas to choose from and it can be boom or bust. It freezes easily so fingers crossed we don't have a strong cold front. It can be awesome with a freeze if you are ready for it. |

Find open water or break as big a hole as you can. If you have a canoe or small boat you can get in the main pools. Not sure what the water levels are like so need to confirm what is dry or has enough water. |

Have the rest of the year off and plan on hunting waterfowl a few days a week. Goose Pond was decent yesterday, shot 2 hen mallards and a hen wigeon. Wasn’t really in the right spot for where they wanted to be but it was my first go there. Went back today and the whole place was frozen over. There’s a lot of specks and snows making their way in now
