Finally got some action afield with it yesterday. A buddy has a couple hundered acres with yaks out east of town here and is happy to have me shoot prarie dogs whenever possible. The only issue is that they are shot at all the time so they are pretty shy. In each part of the colony you will get shots at a few and then have to move on a bit. He and I took a few hours going from spot to spot trying our best. The 22-250 is fun on those jokers  Went through 2 boxes of ammo and probably got 15-20 of them (I started taking some really long shots for fun). Good stuff. |

So they have a threaded barrel version? I was looking at a tikka 22-250 for the same thing. With a dead air nomad l and a rattler thermal. Now that I have my disabled Hunter card, I’m wanting to put a platform in the truck for predators.

This is the Super Varmint....it has a threaded barrel, cerakote on the barrel/action, different stock with adjustable cheek piece, 2 stage trigger and a choice of twist rate. Sounds like a damn nice rifle! I sell guns at Scheels so my numbers are very low.....gun and chasis at cost were +- $1200, the scope/rings I already had. BTW, mine is the regular Varmint |
