Both of us that is.
Every year I will have a small group of Teal that will pass through my marsh and every year they out-fox me. That is until this year.
I had small flock that I have tried to get after the past few days and they would always give me the slip.. BUT NOT TODAY!
I had one opportunity and made the best of it, I got 2.
Last year I purchased a new Yellow Female Labrador which I named WING.
This was her first official duck hunt and she made me proud.
One duck fell in heavy ground cover which she smelled right off the bat, the other was in sock suckin muck which she slogged through and made what would have been a bear to retrieve without her.
Needless to say were both going to celebrate the day.

Tomorrow is duck opener, Brian will be sleeping at the access to insure he gets THE SPOT. I've drove down to the lake the last week at daylight. Ton of teal and Tuesday a huge raft of mallards showed up. Hopefully post some pictures tomorrow.
