Shouldn't be any surprise, he & Biden are about the same age. Lol.. I’m older than both of them and I’m of sound mind……maybe. 😉 .

Shouldn't be any surprise, he & Biden are about the same age. He definitely needs to step away from the job and the party should be able to appoint someone to complete his term. We need age limits for political leaders, same as term limits. Once you turn 70 you finish out your term and you're done, 70 and Older can't run for office. Rand Paul is 60. Mitch is 81. You might be thinking about Rand Paul's Father (Ron Paul) being around the same age as Mitch. Ron Paul is 88. I think he meant Mitch snd Joey B..

My opinion: Mitch needs to go either way. Mitch,Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, all poured from the same mold.

Making an upper age limit for office is a difficult thing. I'd agree that it's probably needed ( a fairly high number ) but more to be rid of the eternal power brokers than from fear of cognitive decline. No one is entirely what they once were at 80, but we all know folks who are still pretty sharp. On the other hand there is a lot to be said for keeping people from staying so long. Maybe a combo of term limits and an upper age limit.

I don't think it is necessarily only a cognizance thing, but in the 21st century do we really want people who lived the first 30 years of their lives without the internet making decisions affecting the outcome of related issues? (No offense to older people on here, but watch the TikTok deposition... it's brutal and embarrassing to watch.)

Is that the real Mitch or not. Looks like the handler acted like it's a clone. Locking up is a sign of a clone near it's end.

On a separate note Nancy Pelosi said she is running again. No doubt she thinks the Dems can take back the house and she will be in ULTIMATE POWER again.
Lord help us if Biden (actually Harris) wins and they get the house.

Senility doesn’t always come with age. Being an old person myself I can tell you I know quite a few folks that are older than me and are sharp as a tack. A couple of them would hold their own in any debate with anyone - and can take either side of the debate. Although I absolutely don’t agree with any of his stances on any subject Bernie Sanders is still very sharp at 82 years old. Unfortunately some folks want to hold onto power no matter how bad they get mentally. We are paying a huge price with Biden doing exactly that . I laugh at some of the talking heads that think Biden will withdraw from running. His head might not be right but it’s harder than granite. I agree with you on senility and old age. My mother-in-law turned 95 two months ago and her mind is sharper than my 59-year-old mind. She lives alone and still drives to town once a week for groceries. She has slowed down a little, she no longer cooks Sunday dinner for the family, but will still go shopping half a day when my wife takes her to Evansville. I tell her she's a freak of nature. LOL

In the end, whether it's age limits or term limits, the people who would have a big part in changing it aren't going to do so.

I'm liking the things I hear out of candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Could use some young blood like him at the top.

(No offense to older people on here, but watch the TikTok deposition... it's brutal and embarrassing to watch.) I lived the first 30 years of my life without the internet and I'm only 51! I didn't have a computer till I was 33 and we had my daughter. My wife then said we had to get a computer to be able to look stuff up! Downhill from there. Now I carry a computer in my pocket everywhere I go and can get "news" from around the globe instantly. But mostly I just use it to check on this site and the Hunting Indiana facebook posts and keep my shopping list organized.
