I'm sure you all saw this. One does not need a Medical Degree to see that the poor guy needs some of his connections re-soldered.
Who replaces him?

I think he should give up his leadership role but stay in the senate. Not sure who could take the wheel.
It used to be the Governor of the Kentucky filled vacancies but I think that has changed. The party of the person leaving the position gets to name the replacement.

Just saw this on the news...
According to the Congressional Doctor, McConnell has not had a stroke or seizure, nor does he have Parkinson's.
Let the conspiracy theories begin!

If I understand correctly, the party nominates three candidates for the governor to choose from. Kentucky is one of the few states that have such law.
Again, if I understand correctly.

Pathetic but predictable.
He needs to retire. What are his capabilities to perform his duty? And he is not the only elected official in this type of condition.

I did find it typical that while the Doctor told us what it supposedly wasn't, he/she didn't say what it is...

I can tell you what it isnt...a person capable of making decisions for a country.
I can tell you what it is....a great example of why there should be an upper age limit on elected officials.
No fancy doctor degree needed.

Personally I believe if someone can still drive a vehicle regularly then they still have good decision making skills IMO

Personally I believe if someone can still drive a vehicle regularly then they still have good decision making shills IMO You and I must not be driving the same roads! Lol With just about all of these politicians, term limits would have cycled them out long ago. I don't think an upper age limit would be necessary if that were the case.

Driving to town for a can of cope and pint of whiskey with dog in passager seat doesn’t count as “regular” lol

Senility doesn’t always come with age. Being an old person myself I can tell you I know quite a few folks that are older than me and are sharp as a tack. A couple of them would hold their own in any debate with anyone - and can take either side of the debate.
Although I absolutely don’t agree with any of his stances on any subject Bernie Sanders is still very sharp at 82 years old.
Unfortunately some folks want to hold onto power no matter how bad they get mentally. We are paying a huge price with Biden doing exactly that .
I laugh at some of the talking heads that think Biden will withdraw from running. His head might not be right but it’s harder than granite.

Shouldn't be any surprise, he & Biden are about the same age. He definitely needs to step away from the job and the party should be able to appoint someone to complete his term.
We need age limits for political leaders, same as term limits. Once you turn 70 you finish out your term and you're done, 70 and Older can't run for office.

You might be thinking about Rand Paul's Father (Ron Paul) being around the same age as Mitch. Ron Paul is 88.
