A good while back I had bought a few bottles of Kroger Private Selection Bourbon Barbecue and absolutely loved it. Got to the bottom of my last bottle and it appears to be discontinued!!!  Anybody got a good pick for a bourbon bbq sauce? I got hooked on it way back when Hardee's came out with one of those limited-run cheeseburgers that had a bourbon sauce on it. I hadn't found anything similar until the Kroger stuff. |

I wish hard truth down here in Nashville bottled their maple bourbon sauce because it is amazing.

Unfortunately, it was a house brand of Kroger's; not available anywhere. Although it looks like used to be on Amazon. At least I am pretty sure that the back of the label had the Kroger name on it. I thought maybe the Sweet Baby Ray's Kickin Bourbon sauce would be the ticket, but I didn't like it enough to order it again. I tried the Jim Beam Maple Bourbon, but it's just not quite right. Maybe I'm just too picky about my bourbon bbq! |

Found one that is going to be my standby sauce. Open Pit Brown Sugar Bourbon BBQ sauce. Really close to the discontinued Private Selection from Kroger.
