As of 10/11/06,Well the corn and beans are still in the fields where I hunt in Warren county. Hope they will be harvested pretty soon. As to the next 2 or 3 days The cooling is great, but hunting might be kind of slow because of the winds blowing 20 to 30 MPH. Talking to checking stations in this area, advised the first 10 days of bow season has been a little slow compaired to last year.

At least the wind might help thin out the leaves on the trees a little bit.......

Out in the stand early this A.M., just after daylight saw 3 does and a spike swim across the creek behind my stand, they walked out in the middle of the bean field and laid down.Heard a gobbler across the creek up on a hill. That was it for the morning hunt. The wind was blowing pretty good As it is right now. The leaves are going fast. Think I will wait untill the wind dies down befor going out again. Now if they would just harvest that corn.

Saturday forecast wind 20- 25 MPH with gust to 40. So much for the tree stands! The rain has left the fields mostly under water,Well maybe Sunday will be a better day.
