Who hunts Putnam County and where?
I hunt out past the Dunbar bridge off 100N. Sign in the woods looked good a few weeks back. A lot of well used trails.

I hunt my small section of woods on our ~11 acres near Fincastle. Our land is linked to another 300+ acres of woods, so seeing anything other than does is/has been rare, but the bucks are around! Do you hunt close to Walnut Creek Farms (Evens)? I know hunter480 lives in Heritage Lake, but don't know where he hunts.

I hunt my buddies In-Laws farms, there are only two of `em. It`s funny because I live about an hour away from work, but about 12 minutes away from my farthest deer hunting spot.
One spot is very near the damn at Heritage and the other is closer to Fillmore.

The forum wouldn`t let me type the word for the bridge that holds the water back in the lake-it spells it as dang. What a riot. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I don't know where Walnut Creek farm is.
I live 5 miles west of Danville. My parents have 55 acres that boarders 600 about three miles west of Greencastle.
When bow comes in we only see fawns , does and small bucks. Then around the last week of October the big ones start to move in.

Bill- you, 480 and I really don't live too far from each other.... You would be around New Winchester somewhere, right? I live about 2-2 1/2 miles from the intersection of 231 and 36. Walnut Creek Farms (think that's the name) is west of Greencastle on Walnut Street, within a mile or so of the new Nature Park that DePauw put in a couple years ago. Need to pull out the county map and see where you are talking about.

Looks like I am close enough to pick you guys up on the way to your hunting ground.
I tried to add a smiley face.

Looks like I am close enough to pick you guys up on the way to your hunting ground. So, you drive to Lafayette on the weekends? ;D It took me a while to figure out the smiley's on this board. You have to put a space between them and the end of your sentence. This doesn't work. But this will.

That's the Keeton's. The last I knew, Frank was the president of the deer and elk farmers association, which is fighting to keep the shooting pens open.
I've never been there, though my parents have. Dad got really ticked off at one of the people there a while back about some of the comments she was making....
There's another elk farm west of Fincastle about 4-5 miles. Never been there either.
