Wow. I know nasp is big in a lot of schools. That will really affect a lot of kids and something they look forward to and enjoy each year.

I'd be all in favor of reduction in school funding for athletic and recreation programs, and get schools back to focusing the majority of their funds and efforts on some basic education. However, that's not going to happen anytime soon, and that's not what this is about.
Shut off $$ to football, basketball, baseball & soccer programs and watch the feathers fly.

My wife just asks for some of the simplest things for her classroom and it’s denied, but we can totally revamp the football field, build three new baseball fields, hire extra coaches, and so forth. |

You don't have to look any further than schools like Franklin Central and Center Grove out here, the spending on sport is unreal. To their credit, FC did get a bunch of Ray Skillman sponsor money for the football field and it is nice my stepsons had a band contest there. I guess it is what it is really
