Couple questions...
Is a trapping license required to trap ground hogs on their own private property?
On another's private property?
Anything special for LaPorte County?
In the city limits?
Thank you.

State law allows you to capture or kill groundhogs year-round without a permit or hunting or trapping license from the DNR, and there are no limits to the number that can be taken. You just need permission to place the traps on the property. You will need to check with the local police department to see if there are local ordinances for your specific city or town.
