Anyone know what kind of population of gobblers there are over at Eagle Creek Park? I know there are a few...just not sure how many. Thought it might be fun to take my 7 year old over there and call some in on video if there are enough to make it worth the effort.........

I have no idea, but you better check and make sure that the park allows that. They may view it as "harassing wildlife", who knows.

I know DNR did a release at Eagle Creek a few years ago but a friend of mine who lives near the park and drives by it every day has never seen any turkey.

I grew up a few miles from the park and lived there over 20 years and have never seen/heard any. There are lots of deer though!

A friend of mine almost hit one on the wing driving from Brownsburg to the Water Company Pump Station on 56th Street last year. I think they are still in the park on the west side of the lake (fewer people over there). Might even check the golf course.

They are for sure in there. I was in there shed hunting in March and a friend of mine had 4 long beards cornered in a small parcel of woods against Raceway. They refused to cross the road into a neighborhood. Eventually they go fed up and flew around us. Some of the thickest and longest beards I have ever seen. They are there.

Was fishing along the westside of the resorvoir today and heard a bunch of crows yakking their heads off. Way in the distance I heard a single gobble. The turkeys are still in there.

I saw two or three on the west side of Indy last spring early, just north of 86th street in the field.
