Been another slow year in the stand. I did shoot one scrubby racked deer on Oct 22. the first deer I'd seen while hunting. Today and yesterday I saw a total of 3 more deer (inrange) All bucks, one spike or 3 pointer and 2 6 point baskets. All three were nice looking and hope they survive till next year or more, but I have yet to see one freaking doe. Good thing Madison Co we can slaughter 4 bonus does But my buck to doe ratio Last 5 or so years the ratio has been very close to 1:1 with a few more does each year, now we don't have any does. I do hunt in a wooded area so it is not like I am watching 1/4 mile. Good news is the corn was cut that had been holding most of the deer IMO so I should start seeing more, hopefully.

Your year sounds like mine, until today I've only seen 5 deer (does). They finally got the corn down around the woods I hunt too.I saw a doe today which is a good sign .
