On our recent Ohio Walleye fishing trip Deadeer and his son Luke won the card cut for the Walleye cheeks and in a very kind gesture Deadeer gave me and Schall53 the cheeks.
Today I sauteed mine in butter, olive oil and parsley. I also had eggs nested in spinach along with Honey mushrooms and pierogies.

Folks have asked what the cheeks taste like. The cheeks are a skinless piece of meat about the size of a silver dollar that has a very mild fish taste if any at all. When you cook them the seasoning you add gives them flavor, you only cook them for a very few mins and you dont over season them. I would never deep fry them because the are to delicate and are such a fantastic delicacy. They have the consistency of scallops.
