I hunted pronghorn a good bit east of there in 2017 and noticed what appeared to me at least, a certain age class of bucks all had small horn bases. Turns out locally there was a lot of snow the winter before they were born.

Not many per the collared data. 70% of the herd’s collared does and 60% of collared bucks had been lost to winter. Every single collared fawn born in 2022 was gone
