On the way to work today i seen a lot of geese flying around
and at a pond i drive by it had doz. mallards in it.
anyone notice more bird around.
P.S. i have some lead and knifes and things for sale or trade in the swap, buy and sell.

i think we have more geese up here anyways than i have seen atleast since i have been huntin them ( 6-7) years. I think the hatch was great. Had a late start to flyin but i have really noticed in the last week the birds are getttin up and flyin.

Do u ever hunt eagle or engle lakes?
I knew a guy that always said he did great on both so i went one yr and 3 of us got one goose on eagle and i left 6 decoys at the truck and when we got back they were gone.
I just about sunk on the island on engle.
Havnt been down there in about 3 yrs, I like to hunt the the lakes in Kosciusko Co.

Nope... i not much into big water .... We normally have quite few ponds, marshes we hunt if we are not in a field (my fav). I did go up to Cedar swamp in fremont yesterday and shopped around the shoreline a bit. Nice place. Only lakes i have hunted are Atwood, Dallas, witmer, and the Big Nasty. (Wawassee) I would much rather be in a layout blind in a field .... flooded even better

I have been seeing a lot of them flying around the house lately. I hope I will have a little time to knock a few of them down during the early season.

That is what blows for me this year...., I started a new job and have no vacation time this year, I am in school until Dec 7, and I am hoping for a late goose season in Feb. Will we get lucky with that this year?

I will still make it out a few times. It is just hard trying to hunt deer, geese/ducks, predators and run a trapline oh yeah and WORK  Makes for a long week but it also seems to make the time fly. |
