Any benefits to using the yellow, hi Viz fishing line?

I can’t help ya the only line I use is 20 lb mono doesn’t matter even on pan fish I use it
The only other line I’ve used was lead core on the Great Lakes
Dad did use something thing along that line but it had to do more with being able to see it he had trouble seeing
My buddy Steve buys spider wire he swears by it I stole some from him one time I honestly didn’t see much difference other than it doesn’t stretch as much

For me, yes!
The benefit is that I can actually SEE the line with my NOT so great, aging eyes!
And when I can see the line better, I see a bite better.
It’s been my go to on my crappie rigs!

I use 4lb hi viz on my panfish set ups.
Really like it for crappie fishing, you see bites that you don't feel. When fishing with my wife I can watch her line and let her know when to set the hook based on seeing the line move.

Personal preference for sure. I like it for river fishing.

I'm 99% blind in one eye from glaucoma. Yellow line is all I use for the sole purpose of being able to thread slip bobbers and tie hooks. I can't hardly do anything with regular line unless I am in the garage and using a magnifying glass, which is still a pain in the rear. I don't notice much benefit while fishing.

I'm the opposite side of the fence. I prefer fluorocarbon because the fish can't see it - it becomes invisible in the water. Even if I use braid because of the no stretch I use a fluro leader.
