Was it 2 years ago we had snow on ground opening day in southern In? Yep. Instead of hunting I was cutting up a big limb that fell against the back of my house. |

Don’t remember but 8 10 years ago I was plowing snow this weekend got like 5 or 6 inch’s here by Fort Wayne people here had been mowing the yards No snow today but it sure could warm up a bit |

Had a gobbler walk by on the ridge about 80yds. I stopped him, but he's tight lipped and wouldnt commit, yet... Use that wing bone call on him and then give him a headache |

Been quiet for awhile now. We are pulling the plug in a short bit. Got lotsa stuff to do today. I'll try to hunt a time or two during the week, then get Luke back out on weekends. |

That's a wrap. Got to the truck and heard a gobble. We were froze to death so all we could do is laugh.
Just stopped at a local diner, and there's a strutter across the road in a field. More laughing. 🤷♂️

We don’t hunt on Sunday’s so when I woke up got my coffee and sat down by the back window overlooking the back field I watched a big Tom walk by the stand my daughter and I were in yesterday.
I know this particular bird, he’s got a dinky stringy beard but a huge body, he was/is actually the dominant bird in the area and was showing himself this morning probably wondering where his buddy was……got news for him, he’s in my nephews freezer.

They were a little closer this morning, but still off our property. Found a few mushrooms on the way back to the house at least.
