I'm in the market for a cva accura mrx. Just not sure if I wanna go 50 or 45 cal. What are the pros and cons of each caliber? What would you go for and why?

You will have a lot more bullet choices for a 50 cal. Sabot + 45 cal bullet + Blackhorn 209 powder + 209 magnum primer = success.
I would stay away from full bore Powerbelt bullets. Some will question or argue they have good luck with them. But I'm going with what I've seen first hand from buddies that used them.

What ever Gun you buy read the manual and start with the load they recommend for the gun….The recommended load is there for a reason.

I have some stuff that I already bought when I was given a cva wolf that I ended up trashing because the barrel is really rusty. It was a 50 so that's what I'll buy brand new. I'm gonna start off with the federal 270 gn core lok bullets and probably white hots. BH209 is pretty expensive and hard to come by.

You can order it online pretty easily

At the distances you will be shooting, the .50 is a wise decision.
