That dog fish is actually a Bowfin. Nasty looking beasts and hard fighters. Caught a few of them fishing Sand & Bowstring lakes several years ago. Have also seen them at Reelfoot lake where they get really big, 3' and longer. Locals down there call them Grinnels.

Caught a world record log perch. Turned it lose. And a small wiper.

Awesome day. Nice mess of red-ear, bluegill and bass for a fry. Got yard mowed, got the chainsaw out to get some limbs out the way. Fixed the driveway from all the potholes. Picked up a ton of sticks from the storms. Made some wings to watch the second bb game.

Deadeer brought Luke over to fish. I'll let him fill in the rest.
Well, I will just add that the last fish caught was 180% Relative Weight.

Luke got 3 nice rainbows. Two on his fly rod and one on an inline spinner. Last one is a real fatso. These are from esshups pond. He really knows his stuff!

HIGH FENCE fishing operation. You could be on to something LOL Yep, they can't escape the pond. I'm just tossing a 50/50 mix of Optimal Bass and Optimal Bluegill feed. Using a Texas Hunter Lake Manager 175 directional feeder, I have it set at 5 seconds at 9am, another 5 seconds at 3pm.

Headed for the crappie hole at 6pm yesterday, happy to see they finally started coming in shallow. We left the lake at 8:15 just before dark with each a mess of fish.

He’s got to be force feeding them Just to give you an idea how good that Optimal food is, I have fed them 40# since Feb 7th. So, the feed conversion rate is about right. Rainbows will put on roughly 1# of weight for every pound of good feed that they consume. I have been feeding them 2x day. I have the Texas Hunter feeder set for 4 seconds @ 8am, 4 sec @ 4pm. I added another 4 sec throw at noon this evening and put another bag of Optimal Bluegill feed in the feeder.

It’s good stuff I will second that my fish grew like crazy after I started feeding them with Optimal Just look at the bass Luke has pulled out they use to be small skinny
