Man, those are some chunkers. Somebody must really know how to properly feed those fish. Wait 'till the end of May. They may be mistaken for salmon! LOL I have grown them to 24" and 7# before over the winter. I am trying to beat that this year even though they were stocked 11-09-2022.

Only caught 3, lost two and missed a couple. The middle one looks like it's about the size of the Yellow Perch in my pond. LOL I will know if the new genetics that I picked up this Fall will grow to the size that they are touted to grow to. I was told that some of their brooder Yellow Perch were 18"-19" long. Time will tell.

Those are big perch!! Can’t wait to see some pictures of them when grown. These fish are in a old rearing pond that the dnr used to use, only thing I have ever caught in it is walleye. About 40 acre pond.

Guessing there must be minnows in there, but I have never caught anything other than walleye in there..no perch..no pike..nothing. My brother has two 14 perch we caught on the lake across the road from my house.

A 14" YP is a NICE Perch!
If you are curious, throw a minnow trap in there and see what you get. Small minnows won't grow large walleye, a 3" minnow only grows fish up to about 10", *maybe* 12" then the fish have to expend more calories than a minnow that size is worth.

Able to go out for a couple hours yesterday, just after lunch. Managed to snag a couple, taking the sled out this morning on winnibigoshish.

My brother and I split up on the lake to try some new spots. He caught a decent mess of perch about a mile west of me. Biggest was 13 1/4. I only caught 2 keepers. lots of 8-10 inch perch. He stayed on a 20ft mud flat, I was fishing deep humps in 18-29ft.

1st 2023 for me. Hoosier ice fishing, no auger needed. 1 fish at 12 inches and 1 at 10.5. Rest were drinks but wanted a few to fry. Kept 6. Tossed probably 10

Picked up some quality walleye last night. Hook was in the gills of the small one, so in the bucket he went.
