Since one of the main concerns regarding the spread of the AVAIN FLU is large concentrations of waterfowl I would say that we have nothing to worry about since there are little to no waterfowl in Indiana this year.

Not sure where you are located but we are seeing numbers higher than any year we recall in a long time.

Only a few places holding waterfowl in numbers and none are in Laporte co any longer

I haven't seen any dead birds in Central Indiana yet but higher numbers of snows just started to show up around Christmas day. I wasn't able to get out this weekend due to finally catching COVID so I don't really know the current situation. The last time I hunted Goosepond they swabbed my birds at the check station.

I need to swing by the public lake here. I drove by a few days ago and saw a mass of white sitting on the open water in the middle, but couldn't determine what type of birds they were. Next time I will toss the binoculars in the truck.
