Late Season Iowa Pheasants

Chased some late season birds in Iowa this past week. Hunted in -4F (edit, it was minus 11) with 30mph winds and still winds at 50F.
We hit one spot where the closing truck doors sent 50 birds flying and another where 20' into the field it turned into mass chaos. 100 birds flying in every direction. Neither of those places netted a bird within shooting distance.
Our last day was warmer, the snow was melting, and the birds had a chance to eat, giving us an opportunity to get the dogs in range.
