Many of you know that I have been working part time at Scheels for about a year and a half now selling guns. We get the chance to shoot most of the guns we carry. By far the favorite among bolt guns for all of us in the shop are the Seekins Precision guns. I will take them over the guns we carry at 3 times the price. Absolute accuracy satisfaction guarantee and a Vortex style no limits, forever guarantee (drop it off a mountain and break it- send them parts and they send you a new gun). Well, every year the store managers pick one manufacturer's loyalty program where we get credit for what we sell. I have found it fairly easy to sell these rifles (even though they are NOT cheap) because I really believe in them and the company. Well this week it all paid off. I sold enough to qualify for a FREE rifle of my choice. I have this joker coming in 6.5 Creedmoor, Desert Shadow, with an ATC brake. To say I am excited is an understatement. seekinsprecision.com/media/catalog/product/cache/e30fe971eef8fad21694c4b4e48d0e19/s/h/shadow_series_recoil_pad_copy_1.jpg

My buddy saw that and got gun envy. Tonight I had to build him a package to be shipped to Flora. PH2 Urban Shadow, 7mm, Vortex/Seekins Precision rings and a Zeiss V4 Conquest 4x16x44 on top. flic.kr/p/2nWf2z1

I'm not a fan of the orange. What you going to use the 8.5 for? The 6.5 will be my "Deer and down" gun as well as for fun. Not a fan of it for anything above deer. Yeah, I don't like the orange either....that is why I went with the Desert Shadow (first link).

I'm working on a few loads for my Kimber Mountain Ascent in .308. 4# 13 oz. without scope. One supersonic and one subsonic. I have a can for it, I want to take it out with the can & Subsonic for 100 yd or less. Supersonic for further distances. I will get a pic later today.
