I have not seen near the number of post-season deer in their normal areas as in the past. How about you guys?

Saw the group of four does for the first time after season about three weeks ago crossing our driveway on the way to work one morning. Just when you think they are right next to some onions...

Mine have been decent. I have trail cam photos of two different sets of atleast 5 deer each. In a field up the road from my property the other night, I counted 18 in a field. I'm already antsy for October!

With the whopper mast year that we've had the deer just haven't had to move much , I haven't seen one for weeks and we usually have them eating in our front yard .

I think they are hanging in the woods for the most part. Mild temps, no snow..saw 12 the other night in a cornfield on my ground.. Solo

I've been getting trail cam pics of a large number of does, a few younger bucks and no older bucks. During the same time span I have seen almost none feeding in open fields, so I'll buy the theory of the heavy mast crop keeping them in the woods.

All you have to do is take a drive down a country road at sunset here in Steuben County and you'll almost run over more deer than most people see in an entire hunting season. There have been deer EVERYWHERE around here lately. I don't know how many near misses I've had recently.
