Went out for 5 hours at Willow Slough and didn’t see or hear anything besides birds chirping .

I’m off of work this weekend so I’m thinking on trying again with the hunting only no camping. Not sure if it will be Willow Slough or LaSalle FWA

I also got skunked this evening. Found a couple hickory trees that they had obviously been feeding in but could not get eyes on them. Neck is sore.

Went out this morning for a short hunt and killed two. Need a couple more and I'll make a squirrel pot pie.

Didn't go hunting but walked the woods Sunday and couple hickory trees were getting hammered. Saw 4 grays on the ground which seemed strange for this time of the year. The woods was pretty open in the understory too.

Went to the HNF in hopes of bringing some home but they just weren't very active. I did take some time though to get some scouting done. The only thing that was really active was the dog gone ticks and man did they cover me up from my knees to my feet.

Went looking around Winamac. I checked a handful of places where I've killed them before but the trees had few nuts and I didn't see any cuttings...and no squirrels. Trying to decide whether to go look for squirrels, mow or just take another nap. LOL
